We are pleased to invite you to the upcoming CEE Animation Experience webinars:
Inside the VFX Pipeline Integrating CG Animation from Start to Finish
11 December 2025, 10:00 - 11:00 Speaker: Michal Krecek (Magic Lab, Czechia) Moderator: Agata Novinski (Novinski, Slovakia)
The keynote will present the complete process of creating visual effects that include animated CG elements, from pre-production to finalizing the shot, with a focus on practical workflows and collaboration between different departments. We will go through the roles of the VFX supervisor and producer, working on the breakdown, storyboard, and previs, and how to make the right decisions between physical and digital elements already in the pre-production stage.
In post-production, we will examine postvis, the key role of the VFX editor, and especially the integration of animation into visual effects: the workflow connection to layout, assets, rigging, animation, FX, lighting, and final compositing. The lecture will conclude with an overview of project management, approval processes, and finally the current possibilities and limitations of using AI in VFX.
How to Create Educational Materials and School Distribution Strategies for Animated Films
16 December 2025, 14:00 - 15:00 Speakers: Lucija Smodiš, Petra Gajžler (Slovenia) Moderator: Saša Bach (DSAF, Slovenia)
This webinar will examine how animated films can be thoughtfully curated for young audiences through a combination of pedagogical exhibition, school-oriented distribution, and structured educational activities. Film pedagogue and distribution lead Petra Gajžler joins exhibition curator Lucija Smodiš to explore how guided tours, moderated screenings, contextual discussions, and creative workshops can enrich the learning process and deepen children’s engagement with animation.
They will also share their latest experience with the school distribution of the animated feature film Tales from the Magic Garden. The session will highlight how educational mediation and cultural programming can extend a film’s impact beyond the cinema and into the classroom.
