OCEANOGRAPHY I

(A) A general overview of Oceanography I up to now

(1) How to summarize an English text both in English and in Greek;

(2) How to do research into monolingual and bilingual or multilingual dictionaries in order to find terms that we don't know;

(2) How to use "Google Translate" and edit our text in Greek

(3) How to construct and organize at TDB (Terminological Data Bank -Λεξιλόγιο); please, see my relevant article in the following links for your future references:

(B) Discussion about the APALLAKTIKI (The Final Assignment)

The APALLAKTIKI consists of:

(1) An English scientific text (anthropological, historical or a combination) of 4-5 pages long in a printed or electronic form - It is your selection; you should, however, consult with the instructor in order to find out whether the text is OK or too difficult for you. - An ORAL PRESENTATION, depending on how the current situation evolves.

(2) Summaries of the English text you will have selected both in English and in Greek - maximum 1 page long each summary; and

(3) A Bilingual (English: Greek) or trilingual (e.g. English: Greek: Russian, if your mother tongue is Russian) TDB based on the English text you will have selected. For the construction and organization of the TDB look upon the aforementioned links, which are in English and Greek.
