Synopsis – As the water level in the earthen dam steadily goes down in the hot summer months, the resentments and undercurrents amongst the beneficiaries begin to rise. The protocol to stop using the water directly beyond a certain level has been violated by some farmers in the village, but the others are hesitant to bell the cat. How does the process of filming the undercurrents help resolve the predicament?
Deepak Verma : is an artist, filmmaker and educator currently teaching and heading the animation program at Srishti Manipal Institute of Art Design and Technology. He has directed animation films, documentaries and conducted workshops with indigenous communities across India. His interest are poetry, philosophy, perception and ecology. His work have been screened at national and international film festivals.
